END OF THE YEAR IDEAS

PHOTO FINISH

For a uniuqe and special gift at the end of the year, give each child a card with a personalized note and a class photo. First, take a class photo. Then have the photo printed on thank-you cards. Write a special note to each student on his card and send the cards home on the last day of school. What a nice keepsake to help remember a wonderful year!

GOODBYE BOOKS

At the end of the year give students a keepsake of their writing. First, take apart all student-made class books from the year. Compile for each student a book containing the pages he contributed to the class books. Then make a cover, bind his book, and write a personalized message on the inside cover. Students love to see the progress they've made throughout the year.

T-SHIRT TOGETHERNESS

To create a fun, reflective and unifying end to the school year, have students decorate T-shirts. After the shirts are decorated, have each child write a paragraph reflecting on his favorite memory of the year. On the last day of school, everyone wears his shirt and shares memories of an awesome year!

CARD CLEANERS

Removing sticky residue from classroom desks can be a tricky task. Here's a safe way to let students pitch in so the job gets done in a flash! Give each child a plastic card, such as a grocery store savings card or an expired gift card, to use as a scraper. With a few scrapes and a little elbow grease, desks get spic and span!
