For this 3-D display, have each student use
construction paper and markers to make a springtime cutout. Next, instruct him to
wrap a pipe cleaner around a pencil and then remove the pencil from the pipe
cleaner to make a spring. After each student tapes one end of his spring to the
back of his cutout, use push-pins to attach the other end to a prepared board.
Post students' springtime writing on the decorated board.

Encourage students to exhibit positive behaviors with this simple display. Mount on a wall a circle decorated to look like a caterpillar face. Place a supply of circle cutouts near the display. Each time you compliment an individual student, have him write your compliment and his name on a circle. Attach the circles next to the face to form a caterpillar body. If desired, reward students after a predetermined number of circles have been added to the caterpillar.
To prepare this work display, post a large beehive cutout with the title shown.
Direct each student to write his name on a copy of a bee pattern, then have him
color his bee and cut it out. Post each student's bee around the hive with a
sample of his work. Encourage students to periodically choose new work samples to
display with their bees.
